THE STORY OF LIFE COMMUNITY CHURCH!

2012-'13 – TAKING ROOT

Life Community Church took root in 2012 with a vision to bring life to the DuBois area. In 2013, pastor James Goodman and his wife, Niki, began to build a team to start a church that would be used by God to rise up the spiritually dry, dead bones.

2014 – BEGINNING TO SERVE

We began holding services in March of 2014 in a small media center across from the DuBois Library. After 3 years of an average attendance of 10-15 people each week, we decided to take a step of faith by moving to a new, larger location to allow more growth.

SPRING 2017 – ASSURANCE IN THINGS UNSEEN

In March of 2017, we began meeting in a Community Center. We did a Grand Reopening on April 2, 2017. That first Sunday, we saw the attendance triple to over 40 people! By the end of July, we were no longer able to meet at the Community Center and had to find a new location.

The summer of 2017 saw us meeting at several different locations in the community. The attendance stayed around 20-30, and new people continued to check us out! We prayed and searched for a new facility.

FALL 2017 – A NEW HOME

By the end of summer, God provided a new facility for LCC in the empty storefront between Scotto’s Pizzeria and Subway at the DuBois Mall. We began meeting at our new facility in October of 2017, and did some cosmetic renovations to the interior before Easter 2018.

2018-'19 – BLESSINGS AND GROWTH

On Easter 2018 we saw our attendance reach 100 people for the first time!

On September 15, 2019, Life Community Church became a fully Sovereign church within the Assemblies of God!

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FUTURE

God is continuing to bless LCC at the current facility as we continue to grow.

Our vision will always remain the same:

"The people of DuBois, through Jesus, will have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

We are excited to see what the future holds for LCC and the city of DuBois!
